Requirements
As a Receiving Material Handler SI you will need to have:
- Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and experience with scanners or WMS systems is a plus
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and labels
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
As a Receiving Material Handler SI, it would be desirable to have:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.)
Role of a Receiving Material Handler SI
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and organize materials, ensuring proper inventory placement.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely material flow.
